On the teams tab, you will start with an overview of all of the teams associated with your account along with how many employees are assigned and how many tips were earned this month.
If you click into a team, it will further show which employees belong to that team, total tips since activation, and any feedback that team has been given when tipped.
To edit the team, click “Edit” on the top right, and you will be able to adjust the team name, allocation method, and team members.
Tip Allocation Method
There are Three available options for the Tip allocation Method:
1. Direct Tips: When using this method, employees will be listed individually in the team directory and a guest will choose an individual employee to receive the full amount of the tip. This method requires the least administrative overview and the system distributes the tips to employee directly.
2. Pooled Tips: When using this method, the team name will appear when a guest chooses the team, the funds will come into the system into a tip pool under the "Tip pools" section which will then need to be allocated to employees by an Admin. If the Admin does not login to distribute the tip pool within a set number of days, the system will evenly split that days earnings among all active team members.
3. Room-based tips: Mainly used for Housekeeping Teams, but additionally helpful for properties with multiple banquet halls. This tip allocation method will collect and hold the tip under the Room Number (or name) the tip was left for. This method will not appear automatically and you will need a Grazzy Team Member to enable it for you. The Tips will collect under the "Tip Pools" section designated by the day and room that the tip was left for, and can be allocated to the employees that worked that room that day. Much like the "Pooled Tips" option, If an Admin does not login to distribute the tip pool within a set number of days, the system will evenly split that days earnings among all active team members.
It is important to note that once a team receives a tip, the allocation method of the team cannot be changed. If you need to update the allocation method once it is locked, please contact support@grazzy.com
Custom team settings
This area will be used if you want to adjust the suggested tip amounts presented for an individual team, this will override the Platform default set in the "Settings" tab. Please see this page for more information.
Adding a Team
If all of the preset teams are being utilized, you may add additional teams by clicking “Add Team”. From here, you will need to decide the team name, the allocation method and then hit submit.
Removing a Team
At this time, teams cannot be removed from the list presented in the Admin Portal. That being said, if a team has zero employees assigned to it, that team will not be visible to guests who scan the QR code and want to tip. Only teams with members assigned will be eligible for tips.
